anyone thought of using a roller blind as a load cover in their galaxy? i might give it a shot myself, the idea of being able to roll it out to the centre seats or leave it behind the 3rd row without lots of hassle appeals to me. just depends if the OH will let me drill holes in her motor. :)

Forget the rollerblind - the rear tapers and you8 will need to trim the edges plus find something to rest the centre on, else it will sag too much. Pieces of wood, a few bolts and a blanket are much better :D

i'd seen your pics in another post and was thinking about something "neater" and not so obviously hiding something :D. all i figured i'd need were some matching material, the bits of wood you suggest as rails to hold the shape and a few self tappers to hold the brackets at one end. oh well, lucky i've got some grey blankets. :D

the roller blind idea is good.

get a roller blind to the correct width,

get two strips of U channel Aluminium, from B&Q

fix it all together, so the U channel fixes to the cars interior, and holds and guides the blind.

modify the blinds workings, so it wants to coil back in, when u let go.

some sort of fixing to hold the blind out, and there u go.

MJR :D
